How to Succeed in Network Marketing

To be long term in this industry you need thick skin.
You need to be able to motivate yourself (not your sponsor's job)
You need to be able to ignore the negative and find solutions.
You need to be able to let go of people who are toxic.
You need to be able to pass up opportunities to focus on yours.
You need to be coachable; as this industry evolves so should you.
You need to be indifferent when people quit.
You need to be able to say NO.
You need to be able to take a NO.
You need to be able to take criticism from people who don't get it.
You need to be able to be blamed at times even though it is not you.
You need to be able to learn from experience.
You need to be able to take risks.
These are a few things I learned and have worked on since my 3 years in this industry and I would strongly suggest to work on self development and people skills daily.
Working on YOU is the best thing you can ever do and if you don't, you wont last.
What are you reading or listening to to make you a better YOU?

Strategies to Become More Productive

Strategies to Become More Productive

Productivity Strategies
Have you ever felt like the more you work the less you get done?  Staying energized, focused and productive at work can seem impossible, especially during that mid-afternoon slump.  You know the one — the 2 p.m. crash that not even a Starbucks run or a hastily chugged Red Bull or Monster can cure.  Productivity is not only about achieving more in less time.  Here are some strategies you may be overlooking on your quest to be more productive.
Failure to plan is planning to fail.  You must set goals and tasks for the day, week, month, quarter and for the year.   Make out a schedule for the day.   if you’re not in charge of your calendar and your schedule, your clients and your business will be — and that’s never a productive way to run your business!
  • First decide on your work hours for the week.  Be honest: When do you want to start and when do you want to stop each day of the week? As a business owner, you have to be the enforcer of your own hours, so declare your working hours (and stop-working hours!). Then, write down any predetermined personal and business commitments.  Need to pick the kids up at three? Mark it down.  Meet up with friends for coffee on Tuesdays for an hour? Add it in. Attend a networking event each Friday morning? Write it down. Now you have a rough sketch of your weekly availability.
  • Second, decide what tasks need to get done in your business each week and when you’re going to do them. I generally suggest that my clients chunk their tasks. Client appointments should be held in one chunk on set days. Writing and creative tasks should be grouped in another chunk. Administrative tasks in another chunk.  Referring back to the switch-tasking reference above, you’ll recall that you’re more efficient when you work on one thing at a time. This is why chunking can be so helpful. Otherwise, it’s challenging for your brain to go from client work to creative work to admin back to creative work than it is to do client – client – client or creative – creative – creative.  Mark down the days and times you want to do the tasks that need to get done each week or month in your business.  In reading this, you might find yourself overly resistant to this kind of scheduling. You might even be thinking, “I don’t know if I’ll be feeling creative on Tuesdays at 10 am!” What I can tell you is that when you set a schedule and stick to it, within a few weeks your brain will know that it’s Tuesday and will have prepared for that creative task. This means when you sit down to do that task, you’ll be almost immediately productive. How awesome is that?
  • Third, test it out and leave room for changes.  I tell my clients to mark out all the time in their calendar as we’ve mapped it out so far and then to follow it obsessively for one month. From there, after practicing the schedule, they can massage it as needed.  If you’re used to flying loosey-goosey, you’re likely to feel a lot of resistance to a set schedule like what I’ve outlined here. That’s normal! And, if you want to get more done and work more reasonable work hours, I strongly suggest you try it.
One of my favorite things to help entrepreneurs do is set up systems. When I say systems, I’m not referring to software. Instead, I’m referring to a process flow. defined as, “a system is a set of interacting or interdependent components forming an integrated whole.”
Confused? I’ll put it this way: systems are a set of steps that you’re likely to do over and over in your business. This includes everything from the steps you take to brainstorm, write, edit, post and publish your blog to the specifics of how you manage your financial records to how you process new clients.
Ideally, you would have systems set up for everything in your business that’s repeated over and over. This ensures that all of the steps are done exactly the same every single time; this is huge time-saver! The other option, which I see far too often, is that business owners reinvent the steps every time they do that task; this is a huge time-waster!
Whether you’re dealing with a new customer, managing your social media or handling customer service, having systems ensures everything taken care of consistently, reliably, effectively, and efficiently. This means you know ahead of time exactly what steps 1, 2, 3, … 27 are. You know what steps you do, what steps your assistant does, and what steps anyone else on your team is responsible for.
You’re not spending time questioning the process; instead, everyone is just following through on their job. This will save you a ton of time and money each month. Even better, it makes dealing with turnover in your company much less stressful because you’ll have documented your systems so they’re more easily learned by a new addition to your team.
However, to have your business run like clockwork with systems, you have to take the time to step them up and document them. Thankfully, it’s easier than you think!
Stop multitasking…It is not effective.. There is a myth that we get more done if we are doing more than one thing at a time.  When you turn from one thing to another you interrupt brain functions.  Multitasking can also produce more stress and boost toxic hormones, such as cortisol, which clouds thinking and destroy brain cells.  It can take about 20 minutes to to recover from a shift in attention, which wastes time and energy.  So concentrate on one task and complete before moving on to something else.  Clear you desk and only have one thing on it at a time to work on.
Competition is a great motivator.  Use a stop watch, timer and setting for just 10 minutes can boost productivity.  Setting up 10 minute blocks seem less overwhelming than an entire project.  It's amazing what you can get done in a single hour if you do this.  Schedule a few minutes to shift out of task mode before you move on to the next project.
I have shared some effective and most overlooked areas of productivity and exactly how to implement them in your business. All that’s up to you now is to plan it!

Social Media Marketing Strategy

If you don’t have a social media strategy for your business then you are just flying by the seat of your pants.  Are you sitting around and wondering why you don’t have any followers?  No people interacting on your stuff.  If you lack a social media strategy, then you are probably struggling with these things.

Create “Smart” Social Media Goals

Define what your clear goals are.  Align your goals with your core business values.  Start writing down your goals.  Make them specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time based.  For example, one of your goals might be to increase your brand awareness in a key market.  Another example, convert 30% of your prospects into sales through social media.

Audit Your Social Media

Conduct an audit of your social media account.  This will give you an understanding  of your current use.  You want to know what works for your audience.  Are you providing the right content for your audience, who is connecting with you? Check out the competition and see what they are doing.
Get to know what your customer’s wants and needs are.  Invite them to complete a quick survey to understand what areas they are struggling.  You want to figure out what their preferred content is.

Content Strategy

Now that you have did your research and solidified your goals you should know have an understanding of what your target audience wants.  Schedule your content ahead of time to help keep you on track.  You can map out your social media goals, audience and campaigns by the week or if you are real energetic and focused you can map out for the whole month.

Track Your Success

You can’t manage what you can’t track.  Check your analytics from time to time to see how your campaign or content is performing.  Facebook has great analytic tracking that you can use as well as Hootsuite.  Google Analytics shows you who is viewing and engaging with your web pages. Match your analytics with your goals so you can stay on track.

Adjust Your Strategy

Once you figure out what your audience likes you can start to adjust your social media strategy accordingly.  Re-purpose your content based on your analysis.  Update goals as you reach them.  Adjusting your strategy should be an ongoing process.
Hope these tips help you to keep organized and stay on track.

Social Media Marketing Strategies

The key to creating your social media marketing plan is to remember that it’s not just about posting content everywhere. Instead, be strategic on how you use your social media accounts. Remember, social media is rented space. You can’t guarantee you will always have visibility on your social media accounts. Like we have seen recently, many people are leaving Facebook to dive into Instagram which is the hottest platform today and since there are fewer ads on the platform and it is easier to get visibility for your services and products.

The most important thing about social media, though, is to remember you are building relationships with your target market. The key is to build relationships on social media and then invite these leads to join your email list.
If you don’t have an email list yet, start one today. You can easily start a free email list with  Aweber.

Here are some strategies to keep in mind when creating your social media marketing plan:

1. Focus on ONE Platform.

To start, focus on only one platform where your ideal clients are hanging out and get really great at it. Dive in, spend lots of time on it and really grow a following of ideal clients in your target market. Once you have one platform down, then you can add other platforms that you occasionally post to but continue to stay focused on your #1!

2. Repurpose your  Content

Use the same content across platforms if possible. Recycle! If you post a great quote photo on Instagram  use it the following day or week on Facebook. You want your brand to come alive on each social media platform separately so don’t post the same content every day, but mix it up and go back into the archives and consistently repost. Content doesn’t always have to be new!

3. Don’t try to sell everyone

No one wants to feel like they are being sold to, but people do value education and inspiration. So, how can you provide value and position yourself as an expert on social media? Then, provide FREE ebooks, webinars, or services to your social media followings to have them take the next step for you to be able to help them. Remember, it’s not all about selling. You are HELPING, right?

4. Share a little of your lifestyle

Yes, people may want to know you and what your dog looks like, but keep that stuff on your personal profiles. Our followings and brand growth occurred when we stopped posting all about us and started posting more of what we knew our clients needed and wanted.
An occasional photo of behind the scenes or what the CEO or Founder of your company is up to is totally fine, but keep your photos, links, and profiles on brand as much as possible so your followers know what they can expect from you.
When you follow  me on Instagram  you don’t see pics of me that much. You see consistent messaging about career motivation and work inspiration multiple times a week. If you want to follow me personally, just send me a friend request on Facebook .

5. Have a Plan & Stick to a Schedule

No wasting time! You don’t want to be last minute posting to your social media platforms because you need to be focusing on revenue generating activities 80% of the time in your business. So, 40% of your week, try batching your social media accounts . Focus on working ON your business, not in your business as much as possible.

6. Have a Content Library.

Use google drive or Dropbox to create a content library so you always have an easy place to find quotes, ideas, and photos.  Gather tips, photos, questions, and quotes you can use across platforms. This is also a great thing to start delegating, because as soon as you have a content library, you can start replacing yourself by handing things off to a VA!

7. Share Other Marketer's Content

Don’t know what to post? No worries! Part of being a great social media marketing manager is finding great content to share and curating other people’s content. For example, you can retweet other people’s tweets. You can regram other people’s photos on Instagram, and you can share other people’s links on Facebook. Your followers will look to you as a great resource for content and the go-to place to find information about your topic.

How to Write Goals so You Can Reach Them

Setting goals is crucial for success whether it be in your business, health, at work, or organization in the household. So, get out a pen and paper and take notes so that YOU can start implementing these tricks today!
Make a list of 5-10 short-term goals, mid-term goals, and long-term goals.  For example, your short-term goal may be something as simple as following up with three people this week, taking your dog for a walk a few times a week, or getting started on a budget.
Mid-term goals are usually six months out and although it seems far away, it’s important to take baby steps to ensure you reach that goal.  Your mid-term goals may include taking your family on a vacation this summer that you’ve never been able to do, setting aside a few more hours to do family activities and not be so consumed with work, or getting that promotion that you’ve been waiting for so patiently.  Again, don’t wait!  Get started on taking baby steps today! Quotes are a great way to get some inspiration when creating your goal lists and can allow you to refer back to those quotes when you feel discouraged.
Now, you’re long term goals are just as crucial as your short-term goals and many people lose sight of this step because it’s extremely far away.  As we know however, life goes quickly and before we know it, the kids are graduating high school or going to their first school dance.  Yikes! Your long-term goals can be as soon as one year away or as far as five years!  It doesn’t matter.  Just choose what works for you and write down how you will take steps to achieve that goal.
So, the big question is….Are YOU going to do what it takes to achieve those goals?  Don’t be a statistic and lose sight of what you’re working towards.  Create your vision, stick with it, and always be improving yourself to push yourself to your best potential.

Attraction Marketing Strategies

Why aren’t more network marketers using attraction marketing strategies if it works so well?

You want an honest answer? Because it TAKES TIME.  Today, people want instant results.  All over the internet and TV you’ll see people saying things like, “Take this pill and you’ll magically lose 10 pounds!” or “Earn $500 in 1 hour!”.  If you have some common sense, unless you’ve built an established business or some type of workout routine already, it’s not going to happen overnight.  People must learn to trust you.  They need to know that the content you are producing is valuable and applies to them specifically.  You also must have POSTURE which is important for people to take you seriously.
Before you get started with your attraction marketing , identify your target market.  Identify what your target market is in need of and fill that need with your content.  Be sure to focus on your content that you’re not just throwing information into the marketplace that isn’t high quality.  Don’t get me wrong, I have probably produced some low quality content before (in fact I know I have!), but the focus here is to be aware on how you can improve.
What are most network marketers doing these days? SPAMMING!  That’s exactly what most are doing, why?  Because they NEED to get in front of more people quickly.  By spamming on their facebook profile or in their friend's facebook inbox, they feel that it’s an effective way to get people interested in what they have to offer.  The problem with this is, most people do not even respond to these types of posts or pays attention to their pitch.

  1. People buy products from and join PEOPLE, NOT companies.

People buy from and do business with people they know, like, and trust. They join PEOPLE. If you can become the leader in your prospect's eyes, and they feel you can get them where they want to go... they will join you. Now that you know people join people and NOT companies, stop marketing your company up front.
  2. Companies come and go, but YOU are here to stay.

ALL businesses, especially network marketing companies, come and go all the time. 90% of businesses don't survive the first year in ANY industry. And we've seen all too many horror stories of MLM companies changing their compensation plans overnight, which leaves entrepreneurs like you and me with zero income for our families. Build your business on concrete, not quicksand... Brand YOU.
  3. Branding the company will guarantee you LOSE customers.

If you are branding your network marketing company all over Facebook, Instagram, and social media, there will be a percentage of your prospects that 'google' the company before you connect with them... And chances are they will find another leader to work with or some silly article telling them to NOT join your company. It is guaranteed that you will lose customers and business if you brand your network marketing company up front.
